With Solid State Drives (SSDs) becoming more inexpensive, changing from a slow booting Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to a super fast booting SSD, is becoming the norm for new computers. Upgrading an older HDD based computer to use an SSD is not as difficult a task as it appears. Apart from the mechanics of dismantling, removing and swapping the drives and then reassembling, moving the operating system and all the software and settings is easily achieved by using Imaging or Migration software like Acronis True Image.
In this short video I show how to migrate from a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to a Solid State Drive (SSD) using Acronis True Image software on a Lenovo Thinkpad Laptop.
