This Dyson SV03 came in with the reported fault of the rollers not turning. Initially it looked like a power issue but after dismantling the vacuum cleaner head and testing, the faults turned out to be the main roller was clogged with hair but the soft roller's motor had failed.
Cleaning the main roller assembly and lubricating the bearing fixed that one but the soft roller could only be fixed with a replacement motor. Motors cost more than a new replacement head so that's what I advised the customer who was happy with that.
Lots of the dismantling and non-fault finding with the vacuum cleaner body have been edited out as has the cleaning of the main head which could not easily be videoed. Just goes to show that some equipment, if properly maintained and used need never be repaired.
